Today’s Scorpio full moon lights up what you’ve been avoiding, asking you to get real with yourself. After all, the peak of the lunar cycle is often the moment things finally come to a head, for better or messier. Whatever was quietly brewing since the new moon two weeks ago? It’s finally showing its face. The full moon always sits directly opposite the sun, so there’s an inherent push-pull between two energies—and their corresponding signs. This tension is part of what makes the air feel charged. This month’s sits opposite Taurus; it’s a tug of war between depth and comfort, intensity and stability. From there May runs in two acts: Mercury moves into Taurus on the 2nd and reminds you to slow down, think it through, build something. Pluto retrograde on the 6th brings the bigger questions back around—about community and your place in the world. Then, the Taurus new moon on the 16th is your window to plant something real.
After mid-month hits, everything accelerates. Mercury moves into Gemini on the 17th and immediately locks into a conjunction with Uranus, zapping everyone with out-of-the-box ideas. Mars and Venus change signs the next day, and for once your feelings and your desires are actually on the same page. The Uranus cazimi (when a planet moves into the exact heart of the sun) on the 22nd is genuinely historic, the first in Gemini in nearly 80 years. There’s going to be a shift, and you’ll feel it. By the time May closes out with a Sagittarius full moon on the 31st, you will have recalibrated, ready to face the horizon.
