I’m starting to mentally prepare for summer, and my greatest struggles are always the same: tank tops I can wear without a bra, shoes that are comfortable (not heels) but still look good with a midi skirt, and easy skirts in general. I’m intrigued by these Gimaguas skirts, though I’m wondering if they might be too short for me—but I love the pink print and am fully ready to embrace plaid again, even flannels. I’ve also had my eye on this Matteau shirt since last summer; their quality is always really good. Fruity Booty makes a similar short skirt that I already own and love.

For something a little longer, I always come back to the Maryam Nassir Zadeh Bisou skirt, which makes me feel a little more comfortable walking around the city. I already have two, one in pastel camo and one in brown, although a friend recently told me they look like swimsuit bottoms and, unfortunately, it completely changed how I see them.

For shoes, I love a Sperry boat shoe, and the Aritzia collaboration is especially good. I’m also obsessed with slim sneakers right now—my favorites are the Jil Sander Puma collab (size up!) and the Marc Jacobs 72 Spring sneaker. Lastly, these Re/Done Hanes tanks have been my go-to for the past few summers, and they have new fun colors every season. But for truly bra-less dressing, I am obsessed with these Free People tanks. The fabric is soft but still compresses everything and holds it in place. And if you happen to be a U.S. women’s size 8 in shoes, you should absolutely buy these Jimmy Choo heels because they’re fabulous.
